So, this week, Montana officially decided that it can almost be summer and finally gave us the sweet kiss of 80 degree weather! This does mean, however, that my baking days are numbered so I thought, since it is raining today, I would try to fit in one last batch of cookies. That, and I’m a little worried that the bear that came by for dinner last night is still wandering around. True Story! Montana Problems, what do you do!
So, back to these cookies! “What kind of cookies?, you may ask! The ONLY cookie that matters: Monster Cookies! Not only are they chewy and packed with all of the best, sweet flavors this planet has to offer but they are incredibly simple to make! In the past, I have shared different variations of this recipe only a handful of times, each time tweaking it to: #1. Preserve my secrets (insert evil laugh here) and #2. To create the ultimate culmination of cookie flavor goodness…so no one has gotten this exact recipe…until NOW!
Monster Cookies, in case you are unfamiliar, are the resulting offspring when you put chocolate chip, oatmeal, peanut butter and M&M cookies together in a room, dim the lights, put on some Marvin Gaye (you know what song I’m talking about!) and see what happens. And yes, I AM playing that song right now and now YOU will be singing “Let’s Get It On” all day…and possibly making your co-workers uncomfortable…you’re welcome!
And since that’s not at all how Monster Cookies are actually made *sad face* (as you may have guessed), we will have to do it another way. Luckily, this recipe is just as easy as our fantasy method to conquer, uses ingredients you likely have on hand and it very well may become your new favorite cookie recipe. After many rounds of testing on my friends at my old hangar, this recipe has gotten their stamp of approval time and time again. Now, it is time to see if it will get yours. So, let’s get it on…

Cream together the Peanut Butter, Softened Butter, White Sugar and Brown Sugar. Once the mixture is smooth and Creamy, add the Almond Extract, Vanilla Extract and Cocoa Powder. Mix well.
