  • 3 Pounds Hamburger
  • 3 C Onions (Diced) (we use white or yellow)
  • 2 TBS Garlic Powder
  • 1 Can (12 oz) Budweiser (or other light beer)
  • 1 TBS Garlic Salt
  • 1 TBS Black Pepper
  • 1 ½-2 C Ketchup
  • 1 LB (16 Oz.) Small Elbow Macaroni
  • 2 TBS Butter

  1. Prepare the Macaroni according to the package instructions.

  2. While the Macaroni is cooking, add your onions and hamburger to a large skillet.

Note 1: My dad uses a large electric deep griddle.

Note 2: If using ground beef that is less than 90% lean, draining may be necessary.

  3. Once the ground beef is browned, pour in the entire can of beer and add the Garlic Salt, Garlic Powder and Pepper. Let simmer for about 2 minutes.

  4. Drain your prepared Macaroni and melt 2 TBS of butter, mixing well until melted throughout.

  5. Mix the Macaroni into the meat mixture until well incorporated.

  6. Finally, mix the ketchup into the meat/pasta mixture. The amount of ketchup you use is purely based on taste preference but 1 1/2-2 Cups what we usually use. If you are unsure, add it slowly and taste as you go. And that's it!
