Prepare the Macaroni according to the package instructions.
While the Macaroni is cooking, add your onions and hamburger to a large skillet.
Note 1: My dad uses a large electric deep griddle.
Note 2: If using ground beef that is less than 90% lean, draining may be necessary.
Once the ground beef is browned, pour in the entire can of beer and add the Garlic Salt, Garlic Powder and Pepper. Let simmer for about 2 minutes.
Drain your prepared Macaroni and melt 2 TBS of butter, mixing well until melted throughout.
Mix the Macaroni into the meat mixture until well incorporated.
Finally, mix the ketchup into the meat/pasta mixture. The amount of ketchup you use is purely based on taste preference but 1 1/2-2 Cups what we usually use. If you are unsure, add it slowly and taste as you go. And that's it!
